The Making of Harry Potter

Sorry, I know I'm basically behind a day on posting, but I have a limited amount of internet usage each week.  I've been trying to split my allowance between Wifi, Facebook, and the blog.

In any case, yesterday I went to Warner Bros. Studio Tour Leavesden - The Making of Harry Potter.  It was here that all eight movies were filmed on sets and sound stages.  The attraction now resides across two sound stages and a small section of the back lot.  Some of the most famous and beloved sets, costumes, and props are on display for fans to view and experience.  Among my favorites and most recognizable were:

The Cupboard Under the Stairs

The Doors to the Great Hall

The Great Hall:
The floor is made of real flagstone slabs so that the 300+ extras would create a characteristic echo as they ran through the Great Hall.  Also featured here were costumes from each of the four houses, including Robert Pattinson's Cedric Diggory Hufflepuff uniform, Harry's uniform from the first film, and Neville's stylish cardigan from the last films.

The Front of the Great Hall:
Featured here were costumes for Prof. Flitwick, Mad-Eye, Prof. Trelawney, Prof. Mcgonagall, Dumbledore, Snape, Hagrid, and Filch.  Behind Hagrid, you can see the hour glasses containing the House Points.

The Hogwarts Gates

Gryffindor Boys' Dormitory

Gryffindor Common Room

Dumbledore's Office

The Potions Classroom

The Leaky Cauldron

Hagrid's Hut

The Burrow Kitchen

The Ministry of Magic Fireplaces

Umbridge's Ministry Office

Tom Riddle's Gravestone

The Knight Bus

Number Four Privet Drive

Potters' Cottage at Godrick's Hollow
